Phnom Penh’s entertainment is based around two major attractions: the city’s great dining scene and its growing popularity as a gaming entertainment destination. The city is home to one of Cambodia’s largest casino and hotel complexes, making it one of the region’s best places to entertain visitors and enjoy an exciting night out.
Likewise, Phnom Penh boasts a large assortment of restaurants including some of the best in Southeast Asia. Known for its fantastic French food scene – a remnant of the country’s colonial past – Phnom Penh is home to some fantastic restaurants and a selection of equally charming and interesting bars and nightclubs.
Beyond this, the city boasts many museums, temples, and other attractions that are sure to keep visitors interested and happy. The riverside area of Phnom Penh is the city’s culture and entertainment center, boasting the vast majority of its bars, clubs, and daytime entertainment attractions.
In the nearby coastal town of Sihanoukville, entertainment options are largely based around the beach. Visitors will enjoy the region’s fantastic coastline and water, with diving and snorkeling tour operators adding flair and fun to the resort. Home to one of Cambodia’s most popular casinos, Sihanoukville is also a fun town for adults.
Finally, Siem Reap is Cambodia’s tourism capital – a charming town that’s located in close proximity to the famous Angkor Wat complex. Boasting many of the best bars, restaurants, and nightclubs in the country, SiemReap’s international popularity has made it one of Southeast Asia’s most entertaining cities for foreign expatriates.
